Meaghan’s Silk Road Victory and Historic Mountain Race Series Finish

This year’s Silk Road Mountain Race in Kyrgyzstan pushed every rider to the edge — nearly 2,000 km of rugged tracks, 28,000 m of climbing, river crossings, and endless hike-a-bike sections. Meaghan not only survived it, she thrived.

She crossed the line in 1st place among women, 10th overall, and in doing so became the first woman ever to complete the entire Mountain Race Series in a single year. That’s Silk Road in Kyrgyzstan, the Hellenic in Greece, and the Atlas in Morocco — three of the toughest bikepacking ultras on the planet. Her combined effort also ranks her as the second-fastest rider across the series this year, just behind Alex McCormack.

“I’ve been joking that it was more like the Hunger Games than an ultra, but somehow I managed to come out on top!” – Meaghan

What makes the result even sweeter is how smoothly her bike carried her through the wild Kyrgyz mountains. No mechanical issues, no equipment failures. The only real losses were a pair of sunglasses sacrificed to a river crossing and a pair of shoes wrecked by days of hiking. Small prices to pay for an adventure of this magnitude.

This win caps off a massive year for Meaghan, one that sets a new benchmark in ultra-endurance racing and inspires riders everywhere to aim higher, ride harder, and never back down from a challenge
